From humble beginnings as a club of railroad enthusiasts based in Rochester, PA in the 1980s, the Beaver Lawrence Railway Historical Society, Inc. formally incorporated itself in June 1994 as a chapter of the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS), with a northward shift towards Beaver Valley Junction.
Independently incorporated since January 1st, 2008, our organization has pursued numerous projects related to the preservation and restoration of local railroad history, as we expanded upwards from Beaver Falls into West Pittsburg. Our members come from as far north and west as Youngstown, OH, to as far south and east as Neville Island, Pittsburgh itself, and up along the Monongahela and Youghiogheny River valleys that our adjacent railroad tracks once served.
